Part 2/8:

During the early stages of their experiment—approximately two weeks in—Matthew made a compelling observation. The research team faced a significant challenge with their cells due to a leak which caused hydrogen pressure to drop from around 2.5 bar to 1.3 bar over about 48 hours. However, this setback inadvertently became a catalyst for noteworthy discoveries. Every time Matthew increased the pressure in the cells, there was a corresponding spike in the counts measured by a Geiger counter, indicating rapidly increasing radioactive counts.
