Advancing to 30 volts, interesting visual effects began as the heater started to glow. However, it was noted that the heating was inconsistent along the entire length of the core, suggesting that some of the turns might be short-circuited. Despite this potential issue, the operator proceeded with the tests, keen to push the limits of the heater.

Pushing the Power Limits

With further adjustments, the voltage input was escalated to 40 volts RMS. The temperature rose dramatically, settling at nearly 924°C. Visual observations confirmed the presence of both hotter and cooler areas on the heater bar, reinforcing concerns about the shorted turns affecting performance.
