This initial calibration test of the core heater was a significant step for the Dog Bone Project. The results demonstrate both the potential and limitations of the current setup. As the tests progressed, it became clear that while the heater could achieve high temperatures, there are challenges related to uniformity in heating distribution due to suspected shorts within the core.
Future testing will have to address these inconsistencies to improve overall performance. Adjustments to the design and rigorous testing under controlled conditions will be essential in refining the heater’s capabilities, guiding subsequent iterations of the Dog Bone Project towards success.
