During the experiment, temperature calibration became a focal point, particularly concerning emissivity readings of the silicon carbide elements used in the assembly. The temperatures displayed by different measurement methods presented a curious issue: while the internal thermocouple registered accurately, the emissivity readings from the external sensor were surprisingly low.

According to the data, the internal thermocouple noted temperatures around 1,122°C, while external readings were higher at 1,158°C. This discrepancy could partly be attributed to the transparent qualities of the ceramic material used. Preliminary thoughts suggest that the sensor may be reading heat from within the ceramic, skewing the results due to the cooler external temperatures affecting the measurement.
