In contrast, the second experiment, which reached only about 1,000 participants, was deemed less successful. Despite the seemingly close participant numbers, the implications of having fewer engaged individuals may have played a crucial role in the robustness of this study’s findings.
There are several factors that could explain the shortfalls observed in the latter experiment:
Limited outreach or recruitment challenges: If the objectives were not effectively communicated or if there was a lack of interest in the subject matter, attracting participants could have been problematic.
Methodological flaws: Even with an adequate number of participants, the integrity of the data may suffer if experimental design is flawed or poorly executed.
