Results and Further Experiments
An alternative run of the experiment demonstrated that the apparatus could reach 1200°C in a shorter timeframe, primarily requiring 600 watts. However, the efficiency remained low, only showing values of about 1.3, pointing toward areas needing enhancement in future designs.
Through diligent questioning from other participants, it was apparent that understanding the behavior of pressure within the reaction vessel was critical. Experiments indicated baseline pressure could reach around five bars before dropping when hydrogen gas was consumed during the reactions.
