Further testing with an Emerson Heat Fan revealed similar thrust capabilities, showing signs of producing between 1 and 1.36 pounds of thrust while the author noted some complications related to the apparatus used during testing.
A Heavyweight Fan with a Unique Feature
The author also explored a unique home ceiling fan from the ‘80s, which featured an integrated electric heater. Despite its cumbersome weight of 32.62 pounds, the fan managed to generate around 0.7 pounds of thrust when operational.
Through these experiments, it became clear that most ceiling fans produce thrust in the range of half a pound to a full pound, contingent on their design and motor strength.
