The genesis of the “Bright from the Start” bulb can be traced back to the late 2000s when LED technology had not yet matured into the affordable and efficient solution it is today. In contrast, CFLs had gained popularity due to their energy-saving properties, utilizing only a quarter of the energy consumed by traditional incandescent lamps. Nonetheless, even the best CFLs produced a cold and unflattering light quality, alongside concerns about the environmental impact of their mercury content.
