Fun Features and Limitations
The Clapper includes various modes, enabling adjustable sensitivity and an “away” setting that turns lights on with any detected sound. However, its reliance on sound as a trigger means that many non-clap noises, from pets to thunder, can inadvertently activate it. Users often face a learning curve when adjusting sensitivity based on their home environment.
While the modern iteration minimizes risks associated with using triacs for switching (now opting for safer relay systems), it still grapples with issues like false triggering and limited functionality beyond basic light operation.
