Kate Flynn was born in Houston, Texas, but her family relocated to Ohio and North Carolina during her childhood. Her journey to California started with college at UC Santa Barbara, where she studied business economics. Flynn began her career as a Certified Public Accountant and later pursued an MBA, stepping into the realm of management consulting. Although these roles were not where her passion lay, they provided her with a solid foundation for her entrepreneurial journey.
