Reusing is often overlooked but is an effective methodology to reduce waste while saving money. Look around your home and identify items that can be repurposed. Repairing and upcycling items can also extend their life. A small amount of effort, like sewing a button back on or gluing a broken item, can effectively cut back on waste. Thrift shopping is another avenue for reducing consumption; it allows you to find pre-owned items that still have plenty of life left in them.
