The idea for Reflection 70B sparked serendipitously during a vacation. Seeking a productive outlet amidst boredom, Schumer connected with Chow to collaborate on the model's development. Remarkably, this project was conceived, developed, and launched within just three weeks, challenging the notion that substantial resources and time are necessary to make impactful contributions to the AI field.
