The incessant stream of thoughts that occupies the human mind is a familiar culprit in the quest for self-awareness. Most people live in a constant mental chatter that distracts and distances them from the present moment. The emphasis on referencing one's past—identifying oneself through memories, achievements, and failures—turns the natural state of being into a whirlwind of anxiety and anticipation.
When asked, "Who are you?" many rush to recall their history. However, true identity transcends memories and names; it resides in the stillness of the present moment. This stillness emerges when the relentless stream of thinking subsides. In this state, individuals become entirely aware of their existence without the burden of judgment or conceptualization.
