The story of Led Zeppelin began in London during the summer of 1968 when the iconic band, the Yardbirds, disbanded. Two of its members, lead guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist Chris Dreja, were still committed to performing a Scandinavian tour. However, with the departure of Dreja to pursue a career in photography, Page needed to recruit a new lead singer and drummer.
