Following de-essing, the next step is balancing the frequency spectrum. A dynamic EQ can be particularly useful here. By creating bands at strategic frequencies—such as around 250 Hz and 2.5 kHz—you can ensure that when certain frequencies exceed a threshold, the problematic frequencies, such as lower midrange or unwanted resonances, can be attenuated dynamically. This process helps in keeping the mix balanced and clear.
