The Slave Morality originates with the underclass. Their moral designations are essentially externally directed. The core concepts of the slave morality are "good" and "evil," or more precisely, "evil" and then "good." They begin with the designation of "evil" and apply this designation to all those they find to be harmful or terrifying. For the slave morality, "good" is the secondary consideration, the afterthought. The good man is the harmless man, the one you do not have to worry about. The primary feeling driving the slave morality is resentment - the inner state of someone who is harmed, threatened, or coerced, but who cannot defend themselves or repay the harm done, a state of impotence.
