The Function of the Master-Slave Dichotomy
Nietzsche's master-slave morality is not intended as one of his affirmative ideas, but as a critique. It is a negative idea, created as a means of attacking and destroying the sickness of modern morality. The dichotomy serves to negate and expose the underlying psychological reality of slave morality, which is a "cult of Revenge" masquerading as harmlessness and compassion.
