CERN notes that the visual improvement in speed is clear, and the 7x increase in reliability is a significant step forward. While the exact measurement of reliability is unclear, the ability to keep iterating and improving the robots' performance is very exciting. These robots are clearly doing real, useful work, and the potential to train them for a variety of tasks is immense.

However, the video does show a human initially placing the parts for the robots to grab, raising questions about the true autonomy of the system. CERN suggests this may be to closely approximate the real manufacturing environment, and doubts a human would be involved in the BMW plant itself.
