Notably, these vehicles still feature steering wheels, despite not having a technical need for them due to the absence of a human driver. This design decision reflects existing regulatory requirements and indicates a strategic move towards compliance while aiming for large-scale deployment sooner than competitors like Tesla or Amazon, who are also developing vehicles without steering wheels.
