Arriving in California as a child, Patrick faced the challenges of being an immigrant and the socioeconomic struggles that followed. His family was often on welfare, and Patrick had to grapple with fitting in, often feeling the weight of poverty. His observations on life as a poor immigrant fueled his future aspirations of wealth and success.
Despite his rocky start in school, where he was a disengaged student with a GPA of 1.8, Patrick’s love for math stood out. He later enlisted in the Army, searching for discipline and direction. Post-service, he pursued a career in finance, working his way up through various companies, including Morgan Stanley and Trans America.
