Part 2/8:
The story begins at a crash-damaged car auction, where the seller came across this remarkable opportunity. Aston Martin’s DB12, newly released in 2023 and priced over £200,000, was surprisingly listed among cars with damage. Intrigued by the potential of acquiring a luxury vehicle for a fraction of its value, the enthusiast was met with the immediate challenge: the car needed to be rebuilt.
Upon inspection, it became evident that the Aston Martin was not just any damaged vehicle. The original delivery wasn’t completed, and the packaging and parts that came with the car still seemed fresh. A series of documents found in the car suggested it had undergone various pre-delivery inspections, and the quest to understand how such a new car ended up crash-damaged began.
