The Pollution Challenge
Estimates indicate that the global tire industry produces about 2.3 billion tires annually to service 1.5 billion vehicles, generating around six million tons of microscopic tire pollution each year. This tire pollution has a significant impact, particularly in urban areas, where most tire wear occurs due to stop-and-go driving conditions.
