Huntsville wasted no time asserting their dominance in the first quarter. With precision shooting and solid ball movement, they quickly established a significant lead that would set the tone for the rest of the matchup. Key player Brayden Rivers, who is slated to become a Bulldog at UNC Asheville, opened up the scoring with a series of three-pointers that electrified the crowd and gave Huntsville an early advantage.
Despite the physicality exhibited by the James Clemens Jets, Huntsville continued to pull away on the scoreboard. Rivers’ impressive shooting performance maintained momentum, as he hit another jumper from the perimeter, extending the lead further to 35-15 midway through the second quarter.
