Part 1/6:
Does Bat Size Matter? An In-Depth Analysis
In the realm of baseball, a continuous debate lingers: does bat size truly matter? Today, we delve into this question as we analyze the impact of different bat sizes on exit velocity using a single model—the True Hazardous BB Core bat.
Setting the Stage for the Experiment
In a recent experiment, we utilized four different sizes of the True Hazardous BB Core bat, which is a one-piece hybrid featuring a composite handle fused directly into an alloy barrel. The sizes include:
32 inches
32.5 inches
33 inches
33.5 inches
The aim was to determine how these varying lengths influence both exit velocity and swing mechanics, particularly focusing on the relationship between bat length and barrel control.
