Barkley’s central concern revolves around the workload he would be expected to take on. He is clear that he has no intention of increasing his work days significantly; he has no desire to work three or four days a week. Instead, he is comfortable with the idea of joining a network provided that he is given a manageable schedule – preferably no more than two nights a week. He humorously quipped about being willing to take on work as long as it aids the network but questioned the feasibility if the expectations were too high.
