Despite the positives, Canó’s 2024 season was not without challenges. As the season progressed, a pattern of fatigue and command issues began to creep in. His workload, while managed slightly better than in 2023—70 appearances in 60 innings compared to 72 appearances in 72.2 innings—didn't fully hide the fact that he struggled down the stretch. His ERA in September ballooned to 6.43, the worst of any month, which raised questions about his endurance.
