Research indicates that individuals with ADHD may not release and recycle these neurotransmitters effectively, contributing to the attentional and executive function deficits observed in ADHD. Medication can aid in this regard; however, it is vital to recognize that ADHD treatment does not "cure" the disorder but rather helps individuals manage symptoms.
