Teams that rely heavily on a single standout player often find creative ways to ensure their star receiver remains involved in the game plan. A notable example is Dallas's CeeDee Lamb, who faced criticism for a lack of targets last season but proved his worth by becoming one of the most targeted players in the NFL.
When teams focus their defensive strategies on nullifying one standout receiver, the best offensive teams find ways around that. For instance, the Green Bay Packers have consistently been able to get the ball to Davante Adams, even when defenses set out to shut him down. The Jets, however, appear to be struggling in similar scenarios when it comes to Wilson.
