In 1985, Jim McMahon was named a Pro Bowler while leading the Chicago Bears to a remarkable record of 15-1. Mahomes’ exclusion appears to be a significant anomaly and raises questions about how the criteria for selection evolved over the years.
The inconsistencies are glaring when compared to the recognition given to other quarterbacks in similar situations.
