Traditional lithium-ion batteries, which primarily rely on liquid electrolytes, typically operate at voltages between 3.2 to 3.7 volts per cell. Microvast's ASSB technology, with its bipolar stacking architecture and proprietary solid electrolyte separator membrane, purportedly allows for much higher voltages, but they have yet to disclose specifics on what those voltages actually are.
