Part 4/11:
The Diamondbacks acquired Jock Peterson on a one-year, $12.5 million contract, and he proved to be one of the top DHs in baseball. Peterson's statistics were eye-popping: 23 home runs, 64 RBIs, a .515 slugging percentage, and a 151 OPS+. His performance earns an A, making it one of the most successful signings of the previous offseason.
Luis Severino: Quality Value for the Mets
Another savvy addition for the Mets was pitcher Luis Severino, who signed for one year at $13 million. Severino provided a significant amount of innings and maintained a respectable ERA while staying healthy through the season. Given the productive nature of this signing, a solid B grade is appropriate.
