The years following the 2006 championship saw Pujols continuing his dominance on the field while also facing increasing scrutiny regarding his reputation. Despite winning two more MVP awards and consistently ranking among the league's top hitters, rumors of steroid use and controversies surrounding his age began to swirl, impacting public perception.
By the 2010 season, he had already achieved astounding career numbers, including 445 home runs and over 2,000 hits. In 2011, Pujols led the Cardinals in another postseason run, culminating in another World Series victory—this time against the Texas Rangers.
