Part 4/10:
Equipped with a clock emitting high-energy gamma rays and a box containing a single frozen electron—our qubit—Alice prepares to embark on her oft-discussed plunge into the black hole. Bob remains at a safe distance, monitoring Alice's descent with his gamma-ray telescope and contemplating the strange effects of gravitational time dilation that he expects to witness.
As Alice begins her rapid descent into the black hole, several phenomena come into play. Bob observes her fall; however, according to his observations time does not behave as expected near the black hole's event horizon. Instead of slowing to a standstill, Alice accelerates and rapidly merges with the event horizon, prompting Bob to ponder what actually occurs under such extreme conditions.
