The costs related to AI development encompass much more than the direct expenses associated with model training. For starters, pre-training and post-training processes, not to mention salaries for researchers and engineers, contribute significantly to the overall investment. This disconnect in understanding could lead to misleading conclusions about the ongoing need for hardware and infrastructure, such as that provided by Nvidia.
