As per Mets management, Sprout rightfully begins the season in Triple-A unless there are changes moving forward. This will be a chance for him to refine his skills further. He brings a powerful fastball that can reach triple digits and a devastating slider, both of which will be instrumental in his development. Although he had a mixed showing at Triple-A, expectations remain sky-high. Many believe he could join the Mets' rotation within the first month or two of the season.
