Mobula rays are characterized by their distinctive diamond-shaped bodies and expansive wings that enable them to glide through the water with astonishing elegance. There are small schools of these rays that perform acrobatic leaps out of the water and smaller species like the devil rays known for their social behavior. The giant oceanic manta ray, however, takes the spotlight as the largest species, known to have wingspans exceeding 8 meters.
