Part 2/7:
Texas is often synonymous with high school football, and Allen High School in Allen, Texas, illustrates this perfectly. Unveiled in time for the 2012 football season, the Allen Eagle Stadium has an astonishing price tag of $82.2 million when adjusting for inflation. The previous stadium, built in 1976, could accommodate just 7,000 fans, a number that became inadequate as the community swelled to over 880,000 residents. To mitigate overcrowding, the school was forced to add temporary bleachers at a yearly cost of $250,000.
