Upon arriving in Prague, I quickly noticed a stark difference in culture compared to cities deeply entrenched in sports, like New York or Tokyo. Here, I found beautiful streets adorned with whimsical architecture, ornate candy shops, and historical landmarks, but the sports culture was conspicuously absent. No jerseys, no billboards promoting games, no vendors hawking team merchandise; even the bustling crowds seemed more captivated by the city’s famous astronomical clock than any sporting events.
