The next day brought game day excitement, and the jet lag I experienced was mitigated by the buzz surrounding the event. When I arrived at the stadium to pitch for Team Switzerland, I encountered an unexpected sight. An enthusiastic crowd filled the stands, eager to witness the game. Despite baseball not being the national pastime, the turnout rivaled that of professional games in larger markets.
Prior to even entering the complex, I was signing autographs and taking photos with fans, many of whom had traveled extensively to witness not only the game but my participation in it. The atmosphere was jubilant, further igniting my curiosity about Czech baseball.
