Contrary to expectations, the training facilities were commendable—multiple fields, batting cages, and equipment reminiscent of upscale travel ball complexes in the U.S. Upon observing the pre-game practices, I noted that the atmosphere and routines shared the essence of the game I loved. Players engaged in drills and warm-ups that mirrored what I had often experienced back home.
During a humorous moment, I tried to get suited up to pitch. With borrowed gear in hand, I enjoyed the camaraderie and support from my Swiss teammates—a feeling that bore a striking resemblance to the team spirit found in American leagues.
