The Impact of "The Amazing Spider-Man" TV Series
In August of 1962, the comic book landscape shifted dramatically with the introduction of Spider-Man in Amazing Fantasy #15, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Unlike other superheroes, Spider-Man represented an everyman struggling with typical teenage issues while battling extraordinary villains. Fast forward to the late 1970s, and viewers were treated to a live-action adaptation starring Nicholas Hammond, who became the first actor to portray the web-slinger in the television series The Amazing Spider-Man.
