To visualize and dissect these complex structures, an imagined instrument called the "qualos scope" is introduced. This device would allow researchers to analyze various conscious states and discern the shapes that define them. By aiming this instrument at different objects in the environment, one could gauge the levels of consciousness present.
When the qualos scope is directed towards the sky or the ground, little to no structures may be detected, indicating a lack of sufficient consciousness. However, directing it at more complex entities, such as trees or human beings, would reveal increasingly intricate patterns. Particularly within the human brain, vast regions of interconnected neurons contribute to the discovery of large, complex shapes indicative of rich conscious experiences.
