The day-to-day experience of being a software engineer became increasingly isolating. Working remotely for an extended period, especially without a dedicated office environment, took a toll on my mental well-being. While remote work had its perks — like the opportunity to travel — it also lacked the essential human interaction that I began to crave. The minimal social engagement that came with the 9-to-5 coding lifestyle was a significant contributor to my discontent.
