In reflection, while I am turning my back on software engineering, I carry with me valuable lessons and skills that I can apply in future endeavors. This is not to suggest that I am abandoning coding altogether; instead, I am stepping away from the structured pathway of becoming a tech leader or advancing in roles I no longer desire. At 34, I recognize this as a pivotal moment in my life — an opportunity to redirect my energy into areas that resonate more with my strengths and aspirations.
