Who Received These Teachings?
The profound nature of these teachings meant that they were not shared universally. Jesus often communicated with the masses through parables, retaining deeper insights for his closest disciples. In Matthew 13:11, he articulates that the knowledge of the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven was granted to those prepared to understand.
Women, too, played a significant role in this aspect of learning. Mary Magdalene, for instance, is often regarded as having received special teachings, emphasizing the balance of masculine and feminine energies. This concept is critical within mystical traditions, where the union of these energies fosters spiritual awakening.
