In recent media coverage, including a revealing article from the New York Post, Hogg has come under fire for allegedly using his newly appointed position for personal gain. Despite being elected with a promise to support the Democratic Party’s goals and garner donations for the party, Hogg reportedly used his access to DNC donor lists to fundraise for a personal political action committee (PAC) he co-founded, named “Leaders We Deserve.” This PAC’s aim is to elect young progressives across the country, but it appears that Hogg's priorities may be more self-serving than altruistic.
