For example, think of Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) levels; while level three might allow for 99% automated driving, it still requires human intervention for certain edge cases. Ideally, achieving a full level five automation means humans would no longer be necessary in the driving process at all. Current trends in many industries tend to favor this stair-step approach, which often leads to complications during the transition to a fully automated solution.
