Unlike the well-defined impact craters observable on the Moon or Mars, the remnant of Yarab Buba's structure has been obscured by billions of years of erosion and geological activities. The landscape now exhibits an elliptical aeromagnetic anomaly approximately 20 kilometers wide, which is believed to be the eroded remnant of the crater’s central uplift. Central uplifts are characteristic of complex impact craters, resulting from the rebound of Earth’s surface after a high-energy impact.
