Today, we find ourselves in an exciting phase of inquiry regarding the nature of consciousness. Though varying ideas abound, a consensus solution eludes researchers, and it is likely that the hard problem of consciousness will remain unresolved for some time. Some express optimism, suggesting that within the next 20 to 30 years, we might not see a unanimous theory, but perhaps within a century, we could develop an established philosophical and scientific framework addressing the complexities of consciousness.
