This leads us to a philosophical and psychological exploration of synchronicity, a term coined by Swiss psychologist Carl Jung to describe the meaningful coincidence of events that are not causally related. Jung believed that these instances serve to remind us of a deeper interconnectedness in the universe, suggesting that our lives are not merely a sequence of random experiences. Instead, they can reflect the grandeur of a unifying order.
Jung argued that, while coincidences can happen purely by chance, some coincidences bear such significance that they warrant deeper reflection. For instance, if one dreams of a person only to encounter them the next day, it begs the question of what significance this might hold.
